Do you provide Personal possessions cover?

The personal possessions option is one of the extras that you can add to your policy if you want items covered while you are out and about.

With this extra, your possessions will be insured if they get accidentally damaged, as well as theft when you take them out with you in the UK or Europe.  On top of this, if you go on holiday, your belongings are insured anywhere in the world for up to 60 days in the insurance year.

We define personal possessions in two different ways:

Unspecified – items that are worth anything up to £1,000 each that you want to be insured away from your home. You don't need to tell us about each item individually. We just need to know how much they're worth in total. Unspecified items could be:
• jewellery, clothing, handbags, sports equipment and electronic items like laptops, mobile phones or iPods
• cover for bicycles as long as they’re kept secure when away from home

Specified – items that are worth over £1,000 each that we’d need to know about separately, like jewellery, watches, gemstones and bicycles.

To add this to your insurance, please get in touch. Give us a ring on 0344 209 0841, we’re open 8am-9pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday.
