When will I get a courtesy car?
If your car is damaged in an accident, or by fire or vandalism, we'll give you a courtesy car until it's fixed. Just as long as the damage is covered under our insurance and an Allianz-approved repairer is fixing it.
If your car is declared a write off by the repairer, you can have a courtesy car for four days from the day it's written off, under your normal insurance. But if it's written off on the roadside, or your car is stolen, we won't be able to give you a courtesy car – unless you've bought the courtesy car upgrade.
Our standard courtesy car is a Class A size (small hatchback). If you need a bigger car, you can upgrade your courtesy car for an additional premium. Then we'll give you a Class D medium size hatchback or saloon car instead. And you can have it for up to 18 days if you car is written off, and up to 14 days if your car is stolen.
If you go to a repairer that isn't on our list of approved repairers, we won't be able to give you a courtesy car.
