Do I get a courtesy car as standard?
Yes, if your car is damaged in an accident, or by fire or vandalism, we'll give you a courtesy car until it's fixed. Just as long as the damage is covered under our insurance and an Allianz-approved repairer is fixing it. If you want to use a repairer that isn't on our approved repairer list, we won't be able to give you a courtesy car.
If your car is declared a write off by the repairer, you can have a courtesy car for four days from the day it's written off, under your normal insurance. But if it's written off on the roadside, or your car is stolen, we won't be able to give you a courtesy car – unless you've bought the courtesy car upgrade.
Our standard courtesy car is a Class A size small hatchback. If you need a bigger car, you can upgrade your courtesy car for an additional premium. Then we'll give you a Class D medium size hatchback or saloon car instead. And you can have it for up to 18 days if your car is written off, and up to 14 days if your car is stolen.
