What is the Reflection period?

When you take out or renew your insurance, we give you a 14-day reflection period. That means you have 14 days to decide if you want to keep your policy for the year.

If you don't want to keep your policy, let us know within that time and we'll refund you for the insurance you've not used. There are some terms and conditions – you can find them in your policy document.

After the 14 days, you can still cancel the policy. We'll refund you for the insurance you've not used, but we'll also charge you a £50 cancellation fee plus insurance premium tax. But if you cancel the policy after you've made a claim or after something happens that you could claim for, we won't give you a refund.

If you want to cancel your policy or talk about your options, we'll be happy to help. Try web chat or give us a ring on 0344 209 0841. We're open 8am–9pm Monday to Friday, and 9am–5pm Saturday. Alternatively, you can cancel your renewal by sending us an online form.
